Aloo Tikki Chaat Toast

Aloo Tikki Chaat Toast

Savory Chaat Potato Toast

Aloo tikki chaat toast is a straight winner. For us, aloo tikki chaat usually consists of potatoes topped with chickpeas, red onion, cilantro, yogurt and green chutney. It’s a classic Indian street food that we love eating on its own, but we also love it on toast. This is a super easy recipe and the potato mixture can be made in bulk and stored in the fridge so you have an easy snack, breakfast or lunch ready to go all week. It’s savory, crunchy, healthy and filling.
  • 4 Slices Bread of Choice or however many pieces you want depending on how many people are eating (we love sourdough or a baguette)

  • 1/2 red onion chopped
  • 4 small white potatoes boiled and mashed
  • 1/2 cup cilantro
  • S&P
  • 2 tbsp homemade green chutney
  • 2tbsp Cream Cheese
  • 3 tbsp Chaat Party Spice Mix

  • Boil potatoes in salted water until fork tender, about 15-20 minutes
  • Mash potatoes and mix in 3tbsp Chaat Party spice and s&p to taste
  • Toast your bread and slice each piece in half
  • Spread green chutney, cream cheese on each slice, add the masala mashed potatoes, chopped onions, peas, and finish off with a dollop of yogurt, sprinkle of Chaat Party and cilantro on each piece of toast
