Savory Green Beans

These masala green beans are cooked with the aromatic spices from the Everyday spice blend in this super easy recipe. It's a delicious side dish with a perfect blend of crunch and flavor. It'll warm you up and keep you full!

INGREDIENTS: 

  • 2 Cups Green Beans chopped (we prefer fresh but frozen
  • works too)
  • 1tbsp avocado or olive oil
  • 1/4tsp cumin seeds
  • 1-2 green chilis diced
  • ½ lemon
  • 1inch ginger diced
  • 2 tbsp Everyday Spice
  • ½ cup roasted and chopped peanuts (can sub with sliced almonds)

DIRECTIONS:

  • In a bowl add 1tbsp Everyday spice and water to make a paste
  • Heat a pan on low heat with oil 
  • Once hot, saute the cumin seeds for 2 minutes, stirring 
  • Once cumin seeds begin to crackle add the Everyday Mix paste, ginger, green chilis if using, and salt to taste
  • Add chopped green beans and stir
  • Cover on low heat, cook for 5 minutes, add water if it’s getting dry 
  • Sprinkle another tbsp of everyday spice and stir until green beans are cooked 
  • Add peanuts or almonds and the juice of half a lemon and enjoy
